Alesia Architecture worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs to develop a new state-of-the-art orthodontics suite within the existing Grand Island VAMC. This suite consisted of four operatories, procedure room, and full lab. X-ray units were located in each operatory, as well as privacy walls that helped form the spatial relationship. One operatory was also designed for bariatric patients. The interior finishes of the new dental clinic used nature-based design elements such as woods, earth tones, and natural patterned carpet to help reduce patient stress and create a patient-healing environment.
